West of Denver, high in the Rocky Mountains and past the Eisenhower Tunnel, Summit County is home to some of the most popular ski resorts in Colorado. Arapahoe Basin, Copper Mountain and Breckenridge offer just about anything that a ski vacation could need, and if they don't have it, Keystone surely does.

In a given ski season, more than a million skiers will hop on one of Keystone's 20 lifts and 2 gondolas. The first lifts open at 9 a.m., so let's go have a yard sale.

Skiing at Keystone Ski Resort

Skiers can start their day at either of two points at the bottom of Dercum Mountain. Lakeside Village has a couple lifts that will reach the mid-mountain level and another that operates at the learning area. To the east is River Run Village, where a quad-lift and gondola go directly to the top of the mountain. Both villages offer eats and drinks, as well as most anything a skier could need to start the day.
